Windows 7 has been around for quite a while now. Most new computers are shipped with it installed and it is becoming very popular among general computer users. It is very easy to start using it if you have come straight from XP or Vista but many people who do this don’t take the time to pick up on the great new features that it offers.

I have generously taken the liberty of compiling a list of 7 great features that Windows 7 offers over it’s predecessors.

This list will act as an overview of these features and will not go in to great detail about how to use them but I have provided links to great resources on each one if you want more detailed information, all of the links will open in a new browser Window so you won’t lose your spot while you are reading. Windows Run commands are super handy to know, especially when dealing with computer users over the phone. Trying to talk them through an issue can be difficult enough without worrying about what version of Windows they are running or whether or not they have moved the shortcut to their control panel and all sorts. With the big list compilation below you can access most of Windows important features with simple ‘Start > Run > type in xxx’ instructions to users.

All you need to do is click on ‘Start’ and select ‘Run’, or hold the ‘Windows Key’ down and press ‘R’ and enter the commands listed below.
